Adaptive Environmental Planning (AEP) was founded by two environmental professionals with a passion for making the world a better place for future generations. With their combined 40+ years of experience, they assist clients across the U.S. through the environmental regulatory and permitting process. AEP has extensive experience in complex water resource projects that have become an increased priority for conservation and protection across the nation. Their experienced approach, with efficient communication beginning early in the planning process, helps reduce project financial, schedule, natural resource, and human impacts.
The environmental regulatory and permitting world can be overwhelming, especially when the project involves water resources. We find the more challenging the project, the more exciting it is! Depending on the project location, the federal, state, and local permitting requirements can vary dramatically, and no two projects are the same. AEP can navigate through the labyrinth of regulations and successfully get clients to the finish line in a timely and efficient manner.
AEP is a proud sponsor of Eagle High School's Lady Mustangs Rugby Club

Bobbi Preite was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, where she developed a love for the outdoors and a passion for earth sciences. She stayed close to her roots attending college at Boise State University earning a B.S. in Geology. Her education and experience in nature and science, attention to detail, and dedication to her work, has made her a perfect fit as an environmental planner.
Bobbi Preite has 20+ years of environmental consulting experience. Work has included federal, state, and local agency coordination and consultations, preparation of EA, EIS, BA/BE, waters of the U.S. and wetland delineations, and coordinating and conducting public meetings. During the last 10+ years, she has worked extensively on Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) watershed projects, and specializes in PL 83-566 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) planning.
When Bobbi isn’t working, she is gardening, watching her daughter play hockey, playing fetch with her dog Tuff (named after an igneous rock formed from the debris of an explosive volcanic eruption), and enjoying nature with her family and friends.
The idea of environmental awareness for Greg started at a young age when he would spend time on his family ranch in eastern Washington. The beauty of nature surrounding him compelled him to get a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology from Washington State University so that he could understand how wildlife interacted and adapted to the changing agricultural environment around them. This interest led into a much greater passion of how humans interact with the environment.
With 20+ years of experience, Greg now spends his time helping others achieve their goals through his knowledge of the federal, state, and local permitting requirements. This passion runs deep in Greg’s roots, and he hopes to pass his knowledge to as many people as possible to help make this world a more sustainable place for future generations.
The time when Greg isn’t thinking about environmental awareness, he is trying to keep up with his four active daughters and granddaughter, watching his daughters play rugby, volunteering in his neighborhood HOA, and teasing his brother who works in the construction industry.
Bobbi and Greg have found that open and frequent communication with clients and agencies is an integral part of project success. Bobbi’s dedication to presenting the facts in an understandable fashion has led her to be an extremely successful coordinator. Greg’s commitment to clearly explaining project ideas results in no one leaving a meeting uniformed. Their combined efforts on projects, when working together with a project team, have been extremely successful with agencies, organizations, tribes, and the public.
